Pat Pritchard

Pat grew up near St. Louis where she graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a B.A. in English.  She and her husband later moved to the Pacific Northwest, where they've made their home with their two children ever since.

Although Pat has always enjoyed writing, she made her first attempt at writing a romance about fifteen years ago (that 20 page effort is still in a drawer somewhere!)  Although her next effort resulted in a complete manuscript, it was her third one that resulted in her first sale to Meteor.

After having two contemporary romances published, Pat decided to change directions by writing a romance set in the Missouri Ozarks during the Civil War.  And the rest, as they say, is history.

Please watch for her series, THE GAMBLERS, being published by Zebra's Ballad Historicals in 2002.  LUCK OF THE DRAW is a March release, to be followed by KING OF HEARTS in August.

She is pleased to announce the sale of another series, THE LUMINARY SOCIETY, to Ballad which will be published in 2003.  Watch for more details.
